Choose your dates: Las Vegas is a real weekend getaway favourite, so if you can avoid Friday and Saturday nights then you can bag a bargain. I stayed a Thursday night at Paris Las Vegas and the same room quadrupled in price for the next night. Think about your location: There are over 30 hotels right on the Strip, but not all Strip locations are created equal. But traffic can make it slow going.

Originally the fee was to cover extra services, but now it can be a sneaky way to up the profits. Some hotels are more upfront about their fees than others, but always double check. So you can pick up some real bargains.
The casino has a few eating options, with an American diner and Starbucks good for breakfast. We stayed in one of the standard Paradise Tower rooms, but you can also upgrade to a bungalow near the pool. All rooms come with plantation-style shutters and rattan furniture to go with the theme, along with a big flatscreen TV, safe and desk are. The lagoon-style pool is a good place to relax, with waterfalls and whirlpools and surrounded by palm trees with plenty of loungers and cabanas. Up the budget a bit more and you can stay right in the heart of the Strip at Paris Las Vegas.
The hotel has gone all out with the Parisian theme, with their own versions of the Arc de Triomphe and Louvre. The rooms are decorated in muted colours in understated, elegant style with Italian furniture. There are five pools in the grounds, where you can reserve a luxury cabana complete with a supply of iced towels.

Another good resource for cheap hotels it Groupon and other social deal sites! I once got a 2 night stay with food vouchers for the Palms Hotel not quite on the strip but still really close for super cheap. Thanks for your comments.
Do you have any idea of how to secure a long stay accommodation for about two or more weeks?
My cousin stayed there recently too and said it was good — like the location in the central part of the Strip. Very helpful post. The first time we went we stayed in Excalibur. A couple of people have recommended The Four Seasons for a different experience. It was lovely and a bit of a splurge to ensure comfort — I was pregnant at the time and struggling with queasy mornings and restless nights. Great info! If you want to be on the strip but save money, the Excalibur is probably your best bet.

But for a little bit more the Luxor is nicer. We stayed there last year in October and had all the pools to ourselves. The prices do vary so much on the Strip, you can find the same hotel where the prices double within days, and not just necessarily over the weekend.
Las Vegas hotels are incredibly cheap. Btw I also just followed you on Twitter. Great blog! Suites are nicer, with some, such as the Royal Two Bedroom Luxury Suite, sleeping 7 and including two bedrooms, a separate sitting area, a inch flat screen TV, soaking tub, glass enclosed shower, wet bar, and fridge. Popular with bachelorette and birthday parties, the PG show features beefcake Ozzie dancers and is always packed to the gills. Wi-Fi is free and parking is included for a fee. An iconic black pyramid located at the southern end of the strip, the three-star Luxor is owned by MGM Resorts International. Guests report preferring renovated Tower Rooms over rooms in the Pyramid, and while many rooms are fairly basic, some feature inch flat screen TVs and refrigerators. Opened by mobster Bugsy Siegel in , the hotel remains true to its vintage Vegas roots, despite a recent renovation and current ownership by Caesars Entertainment.
Despite the classic vibe, the hotel has recently undergone renovations, meaning GO and Flamingo Rooms are clean, spacious and bright, with amenities like a fridge, coffee maker, and bathroom mirror TV — and some featuring automatic drapes — although travelers complain about non-renovated rooms elsewhere. Rooms are South Beach-themed and cheerful — although some guests complain of slow-to-work ACs — with amenities like euro top mattresses, thread-count sheets, and LED HDTVs, and guests can rent a fridge or coffee-maker for a fee.
Quieter than some other hotels due to its location at the southernmost end of the strip, the Tropicana nonetheless enjoys a lively vibe, especially on the casino floor. Unlike newer casinos, where gambling is a sideshow, here the old school casino is the star — guests can even play swim-up blackjack at the oasis-like Tropicana Pool.
The hotel also boasts an outpost of the renowned comedy club Laugh Factory. Free Wi-Fi and parking are included. With an unbeatable location — directly across from the Wynn and Palazzo, and just next door to the Mirage — the four-star Treasure Island offers budget-conscious families an excellent option in the heart of the Strip. While the famed pirate show no longer runs at night, the pirate ship is still visible in the lagoon, and pirate-themed touches are on display throughout the resort, which includes a buffet and spa.
Rooms are clean and spacious, with blackout curtains, connecting rooms, and rollaway beds available. The pool offers ample seating, including cabanas, lanais, and oversized daybeds, as well as a person hot tub, but is best for families in the mornings before the DJ shows up. Free parking is available, although there is a resort fee to access Wi-FI. This three-star hotel features decent sized rooms, some with large jacuzzi bathtubs, coffee makers, face-lit vanities, and walk-in showers, and all with flat-screen TVs and pay-per-view programming.
Still, the real superstar here is the view, available not just from some rooms but also from the tourist-magnet Stratosphere Tower — the tallest free-standing observation tower in the US — featuring breathtaking views of the Strip and beyond , plus a restaurant and bar with a happy hour.
